In September 2015, Poundland launched its ecommerce website following positive customer feedback and market research as part of a UK trial. The new ecommerce website offers over 2,000 products available across 17 product categories including celebrations and seasonal events, as well as over 1000 top brands. It is optimised for mobile, tablet and desktop shopping, and features single item and bulk buy, mission-based merchandising, gamification and automatic geo-location.
Retail is awash with exciting new ideas and launches, and barely a week passes without a new project getting off the ground. This category aims to recognise some of the newer projects in retail, recognising great ideas with big potential.
