What’s important to consumers when using a retailer’s mobile website to research and buy products online? How has that changed over recent years? To find out, Ampersand re-ran a YouGov consumer survey from 2015.
Since 2015, consumers have become markedly more comfortable using their mobile phone for ecommerce.
Sample insights when comparing the 2017 and 2015 consumer surveys:
- 53% of consumers have bought a product on a mobile device (+22%)
- 56% have researched a product with the intent to buy later in-store (+19%)
- 47 per cent use a mobile phone for ecommerce at least once a month (+14%)
