With an IT background spanning 30 years, Derek has worked in IT departments in many public and private sector companies including United Utilities, The Environment Agency, EWS Rail, and has run PMO’s in Unilever and TfL Surface Transport. Passionate about portfolio delivery, the challenges in ecommerce are those of rapid application development in an environment where nothing stands still for very long. He enjoys working in such a fast paced sector, even if sometimes dealing with changing requirements feels like trying to herd cats.
