About Us
Ampersand Commerce helps enterprise customers develop and improve their Ecommerce operations using open source software, specifically Magento. We provide high-quality software solutions, support, integrations, hosting, consultancy and training.
Based in Manchester's Northern Quarter, we are a smart and successful agency who are a trusted source of Magento expertise for Enterprise businesses all over the world. In addition to a great working environment and an international, big-name client base, we are great advocates of our employees and frequently fund training and encourage career development.
About Magento
Magento is a feature-rich, completely scaleable open source Ecommerce solution that offers merchants complete flexibility and control over the look, content, and functionality of their online store. Magento is written in PHP and utilises the Zend Framework (which is MVC based) and uses an EAV-based MySQL database.
The Program
Our internship program is structured and focused on applicative training. You will work closely with an experienced Senior Developer and our Development Manager solving real-life client issues,
learning the ins and outs of Magento, and learning how to deliver consistent, creative solutions to some of the industry’s most challenging problems. We will be recruiting 5 graduate developers for a 4-month internship, at the end of which, at least 3 full-time positions will be offered to successful interns. Your salary will be £18,000 pro rata for the duration of the internship, rising £1,000 every 3 months thereafter to £22,000 at the end of the first year.
